Aurora hunting in snow tank , Husky ride, Skiing , Snowmobile, Santa’s Home

Hong Kong is pretty warm in recent winters. Some people are longing for a cold and traditional winter. You can now experience an European winter in Finland - Europe’s last wilderness: watching Aurora borealis in a snow tank, riding on a husky sledge, driving the snowmobile, learning the Nordic skiing and visit Santa’s home.

Day 01 Hong Kong/Helsinki/Ivalo AY100 0045/0525 + AY603 1140/1320
Depart Hong Kong for Ivalo via Helsinki by Finnair. Upon arrival transfer to Kakslauttanen Resort. Rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 02 Kakslauttanen - Huskies / Santa's Home (2 hrs/1 hr)

Morning Husky safari—after a brief lesson you set off on your husky sledges with 1 sledge between 2 people. You will enjoy riding in the wintry forest as much as the dogs!  After arriving at the farm and thanking your dogs for the adventure together it is time for a hot drink and some husky stories.

Afternoon visits Santa's cozy and beautiful home where you can experience Christmas around the year!  Will meet Santa Claus- a moment to remember. Afterward, proceed to the impressively decorated Celebration House where a hot drink will be served and might be able to see some elves as well.

Evening dinner.
Day 03 Kakslauttanen - Reindeer safari  / Aurora Hunting with snow tank (2 hrs/2.5 hrs)

Morning a relaxing trip into nature, hosted by local reindeer herders. During the reindeer safari, you can chat with the locals and connect with Sami people in an authentic way. 

Evening dinner.

Snow tank is a perfect way to experience the beauty of Lapland's snowy fells and forests in a warm panorama cabin.  A comfortable way to hunt the Northern Lights!  There are great photo opportunities during the trip and we also stop so you may have a chance to step outside and experience the Arctic wilderness.  A hot drink and a treat will be serviced during the safari.
Day 04 Kakslauttanen  - Snowmobile / Nordic Skiing school with instructor (2 hrs/2 hrs)

Morning you are able to enjoy this a thrilling ride in the forest - Snowmobile.  You will be zipping through the forests with your instructor and able to see frozen rivers, forest, hills and frozen tundra. There is a good chance to see wildlife along the way and your instructor will point out anything interesting they see. After the ride, you will be served with a cup of hot juice and Finnish treat before heading back to Kakslauttanen.

Afternoon, you will be able to start your Ski lesson—under expert instruction with ski equipment and learn the most Nordic of sports. Suitable for all abilities from complete beginners to advanced.

Day 05 Kakslauttanen - Free at leisure
 

A day free at your leisure where you may join other optional activities such as Full day excursion with Sampo Ice Breaker - the world's only icebreaker that operates specifically for tourism purposes, sails the Gulf of Bothnia along the stretches of the Finnish Lapland.

Transfer to Ivalo airport for return flight to Hong Kong via Helsinki by Finnair.
